What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are used to measure how the site is used, or for marketing, and those require your consent.
Consent is handled by CookieYes, which displays the banner and keeps track of what you've chosen.
What happens before you consent
Before you've made a choice, no statistics and no marketing are started. Google Consent Mode is set to deny advertising and analytics storage by default, and the three marketing scripts don't load at all until consent exists.
We've tested it: on a visit without consent, exactly one cookie is set — the one that remembers your own choice. No tracking cookies, and no calls to Google, LinkedIn or Instantly.
Necessary cookies
Required for the website to function and to store your consent choice. They can't be switched off and don't require consent.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| cookieyes-consent | CookieYes | Stores which categories you've approved, so the banner doesn't ask again on every page. |
Statistics
Helps us understand which pages are read and where visitors leave, so we can improve the site. Set only if you approve statistics.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors from one another. Contains no name and no email address. |
| _ga_EVBPRYGB7C | Google Analytics | Keeps a session together for this website. |
If you decline statistics, Google Analytics sends no identifier and stores no cookie. The IP address is anonymised in all cases.
Marketing
Used to measure the effect of advertising and to see which companies visit the site. Loaded only if you approve marketing.
| Cookie or script | Set by | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| bcookie, li_gc, lidc | Measures whether a visit came from an advert on LinkedIn. | |
| Visitor identification | Instantly (Leadsy) | Attempts to determine which company a visit comes from, based on network information. |
Change your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. The choice applies going forward.
You can also delete cookies directly in your browser. How to do it varies between browsers and is described in their own help pages.
More about how we handle data
Cookies are part of a bigger picture. How we handle personal data in general, which suppliers we use and what rights you have is set out in the privacy policy.
